Dr. Jessica C. Jones, Psy D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Psychoanalyst (Owner)

Dr. Jones is a licensed clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst and owner of Therahealing Psychological Services PLLC. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Hofstra University in Long Island NY, and a Masters and Doctoral degree from the American School of Professional Psychology, ASPP, Washington DC. She is also a psychoanalytic graduate of the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis. 

She has over 12 years of experience in a multitude of clinical settings such as day treatment facilities, outpatient community health, residential psychiatric centers, forensic settings and private practice. Her thorough background serves as a foundation in working with a wide range of distressing symptoms such as: anxiety, depression, postpartum mood disorders, trauma, internal conflict, and relationship distress; which she now applies in private practice with adults and couples. 

Dr. Jones treatment approach is based on the philosophy that different people need different things at different times; which is why an integrative relational approach to therapy is at the core of her work in understanding the unique layers of others. One of the ways she does this is an exploration into how past influences affect current ways of relating in the world through a psychodynamic lens and applying practical tools toward enhancing healing and understanding with Insight-Oriented techniques and Interpersonal Therapy. When working with couples she applies tools and techniques influenced by Imago Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and The Gottman Method. Couples can work with Dr. Jones in weekly couples therapy or in a more concentrating couples weekend intensive.
